I am sooooo behind in posts . . .

I am terribly embarrassed that its nearly halfway through the year before I do a 2015 post!  So much has been going on in my personal life, that is the reason.


However, I have worked on numerous projects this year and WILL be posting pictures and details soon. 


Emma's Room:   I sold Emma's loft bed (did I even post about painting that?? lol) and bought an ordinary wood single bed.  Her bed is painted and set up but I'm waiting on a few things to be able to finish up her room and be able to post pictures, etc.


My mother's kitchen:  What originally started out to be simply refinishing her kitchen countertops, quickly evolved into an entire kitchen redo.  I'm very excited about that project.  Lots of cool diy details and pictures coming soon!

My stairwell and upstairs hallway:  I finally got a large beautiful canvas photo and installed it in my stairwell early this year.  I've been designing a plan and editing it many times (lol) for the rest of the walls there.  I'm nearing completion on this project, too, and will be posting pictures and details on that, as well.

Katie's room:  My oldest daughter moved out of home early this year.  This mama has had (and still is having) a VERY hard time with it.  Yes, she's old enough.  I'M not old enough!  Trying to move on here, I have to rearrange her room . . . make it look like its a lived-in room.  We are planning on putting our house up for sale in the near future so doing her room is part of the 'staging' process, as well.

So. in the process of preparing our home for sale (its GOT to be staged just right, you know!), I've been selling things I no longer use via Facebook groups and Kijiji.  With this money, I am purchasing things we need to finish getting the house in order:  storage containers to 'neat-ify' cabinets and closets, end tables for Emma's room as she hasn't had any (didn't need any with a loft bed), etc.

I also have been doing a number of in-home consultations through my little enterprise, A Fresh Perspective.  I've gotten a lot of great feedback verbally but unfortunately, no one has yet taken the time to post their feedback on my Facebook page.  :(

This spring I was chosen to be part of the promotional team for an author, Melissa Michaels for her new book that just released called "Love the Home you Have".  Its incredibly awesome!  Check it out!  I have been reading it on my cell phone via the Kindle app, as I gave my personal hard copy as a gift.  I have ordered another hard copy for myself.  I initially liked using the Kindle app but I've been finding that I would much prefer to have the physical book in hand and be able to write in it and highlight, etc.
