This post is to kind of explain why there hasn't been much blog activity this past year. Life threw me another curveball last fall. My husband of 24 years left me last October and two of our children (teens), chose to live with him. To save my children any further pain, that is all I will say about it. There is no point in "my side, his side" stories. It has been an extremely painful year but God has been with me every step of the way. Prayers would still be appreciated, though. Moving on. My parent's have helped me finish most of the projects that were needing finished and now the house is on the market for sale. What I will do after the house sells? I do not know. One day at a time. Maybe I have said this before, but in case you didn't know . . . my parents originally bought this house in a repossession sale. They lived here for about 5 or 6 years before my family & I moved in. They did a lot of work to the place when they lived here, as it was quite a mess when they got it. As you DO know, I also, have done a lot of work here. I have blogged about each project. I do have a couple more posts coming about work done this summer. Now its time to share photos of my beautiful home. My realtor took amazing photos so I will share those here. Exterior:The packed sand pad to the right in the picture above (next to the privacy fence), is where the swimming pool goes. The pool remained in storage this summer. I also didn't bring the picnic table back out this year, which would normally sit on the checkered patio between the house and the gazebo. The gazebo. The tarp roof was unusable last year and so we bought all the building material to build a roof over the gazebo but the supplies stayed in storage and didn't get used. The plan was to leave the metal walls of the gazebo in place for decorative purposes and build the new roof over top. The big building out back (aka 'the barn') . . . the plan was to cut in in half and sell off the material of one half to pay for the new shingles, etc to fix up the half we were going to keep. We were going to keep the left side and in the spot where the right half sat, we were going to build a fire pit, etc. Plans that will now not happen. Its up to the new future owners what they want to do. Interior:I also did a video. It's not the best quality but I'm learning. It does give you a better idea of the whole picture. One thing I thought I would miss when I moved here was having a basement. But as you will see, there is so much room in this house and so many storage options inside as well as all the outbuildings, it was never an issue. There are large closets in each room, with the master having two! There's 2 coat closets, 2 pantries, 1 linen closet, the pump room has lots of storage, and the walk-in closet behind the dining room hutch that has the electrical panel in it also has lots of storage. Outside, there's the baby barn, the big 'barn', and two smaller outbuildings behind that! UPDATE: The house sold in October 2019. Thank you, Chris! I hope you enjoyed this post with its pictures & video!
