You may be wondering why my posts have not been frequent. I am writing today to let you know what has been going on. Although I have been blogging since 2014, I took from November 2015 to November 2017 to focus primarily on building my blog. I did some in-home consultations during that period of time through my Interior Decorating business, also, but my main 'job' was building my blog. I worked on my own home as well as my parent's home and gained a lot of hands-on experience from which I shared with you all the highs AND the the lows.
I had hoped that I could make an income off of blogging and worked hard at learning everything that I could. I was very pleased to see the numbers climb to as high as 8,000 first time readers of my blog per week! However, soon after reaching this milestone, I discovered that I would have to compromise on some things I was not willing to compromise on. I am thankful for the 2 years I spent blogging and learning how to do things myself and will continue to blog all things DIY as I get opportunity to do them. But, there is something to be said about a regular paycheque. LOL. I also greatly missed the daily interaction with people in the sales/service world so I hired on with Kent Building Supplies in November 2017. For those of you NOT from Atlantic Canada, Kent Building Supplies is a large chain of . . . . you guessed it! A building supplies chain of stores only in Atlantic Canada. I worked at the Kent in the nearby city of Moncton, NB, in the paint department. In February, I discovered an opening at a Kent much nearer to my home in the country and was very blessed to get offered a full time position there in Petitcodiac to manage their paint department. It is a small village and I am loving the whole vibe! I am available there from Tuesday to Saturday every week for DIY advice, colour consultations, product selections, etc. Thus . . . I do not have the energy nor time to work on projects to create regular blog posts. I WILL continue to post as I get opportunity to do more projects, of course! Lastly, if you would like to see before & after pictures along with a few details from those I have coached/advised, please let me know in the comments. I could do some posts from that angle if I get enough interest.

I'd love to see some of those updates. But ... What is the picture of the ugly recliner? Did I miss something? Lol!
