My grey walls with Sico Muse paint!

In January, I posted about using Sico Muse (PPG's Canadian brand of paint in their top quality line) on my kitchen walls.  I was too excited at the time to wait until I had completely finished painting to post, so at the time of that post I still had to finish painting all around the kitchen cabinets.  This post is to show you the completely finished walls and talk a bit more about my new favourite paint . . . Sico Muse in Soft Matte!  This paint is not only very flat (therefore hides wall blemishes), it is durable/scrubbable, and feels like a cross between satin and silk to the touch.

As I mentioned in that first post, I am amazed at the coverage from this paint!  The first coat almost covered completely.  I did two complete coats of cutting in and rolling on and this is how much paint I had left in the gallon when I was completely done!

​I do want to point out that the color your wet paint is, is often not the color it will be when it dries.  This particular color was one of the biggest differences in colors when wet vs when dry that I've noticed so I had to share.  In the picture, the paint stick and the side of the can are both dry and visibly a different colour than the wet paint in the tray and in the can.

Lastly, I want to share a really cool feature of the Muse paint . . . you can use it as a chalkboard!  The Soft Matte (which I used) is a completely flat paint.  After you allow your freshly painted wall to cure for 14 days, you can write on it with chalk!  No seasoning required as with specific chalkboard paint.  No leftover messy chalk residue on the wall after you wash off the chalk like you get with traditional chalkboard.  And, you can have any color chalkboard wall you wish!  I tested it out today!  I found white chalk and wrote you a note on my kitchen wall.

​It washed back off so easily without ANY residue!  I left some on so you could see where I washed some off.
